Engagement Session with Julia & Will
Engagement Session Season is here! I love it when Winter gradually disappears and it starts looking a bit more like Spring… I want to see green already! Spring means the start of Wedding Season and of course the kickoff of my Engagement Sessions! This is when I get to have fun with my brides and grooms during our “trial run” of posing and getting comfortable with the camera. This is a great time to get to know my couples a bit more before the big day and to capture them being playful and romantic. I also sometimes get asked to capture engagement sessions for local brides that are getting married out of state, like Julia & Will.
These two are from the area and wanted their engagement session at a local park in Virginia Beach. I recommended Great Neck Park because there are some trees that are pretty year-round at this location. They asked if I would mind if they brought their dog for a couple photos and of course me being a dog lover myself said “of course!” I have to admit, having your doggy with you on your first photo session as a couple really helps to calm nerves and just have fun. We were a little bummed the sky was so overcast and dark, but just as we were starting to head back to our cars the sun decided to make an appearance so we extended our session a little longer to get that beautiful golden hour light.
Congrats Julia & Will and best of luck on your big day! 🙂
