Michelle & Paul – Wedding
Wedding at Shifting Sands Beach Club:
Michelle & Paul had a beautiful ceremony at Community United Methodist Church before celebrating their wedding at Shifting Sands Beach Club. They had a traditional ceremony and mass, so I had ample opportunities to capture the couple in this beautiful church setting. Once they were officially husband and wife, they walked down the aisle together while a Red Sox banner displayed on the monitor overhead. Why the Red Sox mention in a church you might ask? Michelle is a huge Boston Red Sox fan, as you will notice hints of the team and baseball in general throughout the day. That being said, for the bride and groom present exchange, Paul gave her a baseball with a hand written note and she gave him a T-shirt to welcome him to the Red Sox family. In addition to loving everything baseball, Michelle is an avid reader and loves the Jane Austen collection, so naturally she requested a picture of the rings creating a heart inside one of her favorite books. She also wanted a portrait of her in her wedding dress reading her favorite book on a bench, Michelle you are too cute!
We left the church after family photos and headed over to the Dam Neck Naval Base to kick off the rest of the event at Shifting Sands. I love this venue because it is right next to a nice secluded beach and picturesque staircase, perfect for beach portraits!
Michelle & Paul are such a sweet and easy going couple as well as their entire wedding party and family. Everyone danced all night and we all had a great time, I found myself getting rather attached to the people at this wedding too and was a tad bummed when the event was over.
I wanted to say a quick thank you to all the vendors that made this day complete, from the beautiful hair from Anywhere Beauty by Shae and makeup by Amanda Murray with Mary Kay, to the gorgeous flowers from Marlene Macdonald from Marlene Events and the sweet tunes from Hey DJ and of course the great venue and catering by the Shifting Sands Beach Club.
Thank you to Michelle & Paul for having me be part of your day, I loved it! 🙂
